Notice Regarding Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)

In accordance with the US Dept. of Agriculture’s federal mandate — and only for species required required to have an HPAI test — The Oregon State Fair will only accept animals arriving with a negative HPAI test result within 10 days of their entry into the fair.

Samples must be collected by a licensed veterinarian or an approved HPAI sampler.  Please click on the link below for more information.

The Oregon State Fair is the ultimate destination for 4-H enthusiasts statewide, where they meet for a week of competitions. Those include anything from horticulture to communications projects and consumer science exhibits.

It’s hard not to be impressed with the achievements of FFA members participating in this year’s fair. Whether they’re showcasing crops, their lambs, or educating fairgoers about agriculture, their remarkable knowledge goes beyond planting and harvesting.
